Shannon has done a great job connecting her campers, they played a fun game of floor hockey today…many of our kids were involved with the game.  We’ve been using a gym at a church down the street.  The church has some great people working at it, but seeing this facility makes me realized how blessed Woodside of White Lake is to have our facility.    Monday night we did a Mafia Night at the Warren Campus, Tuesday we went to a Tiger’s game, and Wednesday night we participated in Warrens 180 Degrees!  It’s been a crazy busy week! But, all in all God continues to show

June 9 - Sixth Grade Welcome Party - 6:30-8pm - We’ll be welcoming our new crew of sixth grade students with an incredible fun night! This year we’ll be celebrating by bringing out gallons and gallons of ice cream! We’ll set up some amazing dessert troughs where the ice cream will be piled high and you’ll be able to add from a large variety of toppings! Lesson: “Fast Food” ~ John 6

June 16 - Water Wars - 6:30-8pm- BYOSG - Bring Your Own Squirt Gun! For this fun out door event you’ll need your squirt gun and a towel! Expect to get drenched as we play a bunch of fun outdoor water games and end with a giant squirt gun war! Lesson: “Lots of Water” ~John 7

June 23 - Oasis Movie Night - 6:30-8:45pm Bring a blanket to rest on as we turn our gym into an amazing movie theater. We’ll provide the popcorn, pop, and tons of movie snacks..and you bring all your friends! We’ll be watching the movie, CITY OF EMBER (rated PG)…which is all about the importance of LIGHT…which ties in perfectly with our third lesson. Lesson: “A Bright Light” ~ John 8

When: August 20^th from 7-10pm and August 21^st from 8a-12:30p

What: This is an all new family mini-conference for new 6^th grade students and their parents. Entering middle school is a major life milestone and we want to make sure that our families are as prepared as possible. This mini-conference will include (1) relational building activities, (2) separate breakouts for parents and students both to learn and discuss the challenges and opportunities that come with this unique age group and (3) a campus-specific overview of the middle school ministry of Woodside so your family can take full advantage of partnering with our church to inspire the next generation to live for Jesus Christ. Element is five extreme days of intense summer excitement based on the basic elements: Wind, Earth, Fire, Water and Spirit.   This year’s Element promises to have some of the biggest events that Oasis has ever pulled off and all of them have been designed and planned with the help of Middle School students!  Everyday we’ll be leaving the White Lake Campus for incredible activities! You’ll make NEW FRIENDS, build a vibrant relationship with GOD, and make some incredible MEMORIES.  Element will be full of larger than life activities, inspiring worship, relevant Bible teaching, and dynamic breakout sessions.   Element is for all middle school students going into 6^th grade through 8^th grade the fall of 2010.  All afternoon activities take place off campus and are covered with the cost of ELEMENT.  Please bring a brown bag lunch with your name on it everyday!

Cost is $65 before July 14th; $10 late fee July 15th and after
